Welcome to Snap. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to maintaining the absolute confidentiality and security of your creative files and data. By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Because Snap is designed primarily as a local photo editing, collage styling, and typography tool, we prioritize your absolute privacy.
User-Provided Data: We do not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information (such as your name, email, or phone number) to use the core features of the app.
Photos & Storage Permissions: To function correctly, the app requests read/write access to your device's system photo library/gallery. This is strictly required to let you load the photos you choose to edit and to save your final exported images directly to your device.
Camera Access (Optional): If you choose to take a picture directly within the app to use as a canvas background, we request camera permission. We do not store or transmit any raw camera streams.
Local Processing: All photo editing filters, custom color grading matrix calculations, shadow/vignette renders, canvas configurations, collage layouts, and text/font rendering happen entirely locally on your physical device. We do not upload your personal photos, typed text, or edited designs to any external servers.
Sinhala Typography & Text Inputs: The text you type using native keyboards (including standard Unicode or legacy Sinhala input strings) is processed entirely within the app's transient memory to perform sequence conversion and render selected FMAbhaya or modern typefaces. No keystrokes or text contents are saved, logged, or transmitted externally.
The app may use third-party advertising services (such as Start.io or Google AdMob) to display advertisements to you. These third-party providers may collect device identifiers, IP addresses, and standard device telemetry to serve relevant or non-personalized ads. These services operate under their own independent Privacy Policies detailing how they handle user data.
We value your trust. Because your images and typography edits are processed and stored locally on your device, their security is completely dependent on your own device's security settings (such as screen locks, biometric access, and system-level folder encryption). We encourage you to keep your device secure.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect modifications in local device storage standards or operating system permissions. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy inside the app and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
